Wir sitzen in einem weichen Kinosessel & schauen auf die Leinwand. Es ist sicher, bequem & es gibt Popcorn. — Plötzlich löst sich das Bild von der Leinwand & Charlie Chaplin steht schemenhaft mitten im Raum. Dimensionen verschieben sich, Bilder zerreißen & setzen sich neu zusammen. Geschichten werden brüchig, Unsicherheit breitet sich aus.

Die Performance „Bildstörung“ ist ein Versuch, in Auseinandersetzung mit popkulturellen Filmen, einen Eingriff in die geschlossene Syntax des Films zu wagen. Ausgangspunkt dafür ist das im Entstehen begriffene Bild selbst, die Projektion – sie wird zur Performance. Durch den Eingriff wird der Film zu einem System veränderbarer Variablen, welche Leerstellen produzieren & so ein dynamisches Feld zwischen Bild und Publikum eröffnen.

We are sitting in a soft cinema armchair and lokking at the screen. It is safe, comfortable and we have popcorn. Suddenly the image detaches from the screen and the shadowy outlines of Charlie Chaplin stand in the center of the room. Dimensions shift, pictures are torn apart and are reassembled.

The performance „image interference“ is an attempt at dealing with pop cultur movies to risk an interference in the closed syntax of the film.

Starting point is the nascent image itself, the projection – it is the performance. Through the intervention the film becomes a system of variables produce empty spaces so that a dynamic field between image and audience emerge.
