Tok Tokk Aggar - Welt aus festem Wasser

The solo performance »Tok Tokk Aggar« encompasses the moment of artistic installation and creation of an artificial world and its destruction by the performer acting as its inhabitant. A world is constructed from the plant-based gelling agent agar-agar and immediately gets destroyed again. The movements of the inhabitant are playfully searching, sometimes sensual and always in direct contact with the material. The performer is like a part of the artificially appearing world, does not speak a clear language, seems alien and thus manifests the chaos in and around us. This results in an ambivalence of playfulness, destruction, artificiality and body-related materiality. This examination of the material agar-agar is presented by Therese Lippold, an artist from Halle.
