Art Exhibition: Dark Patterns

The group exhibition ‘Dark Patterns’ shows artistic strategies that deal with the beautiful surface, the dark forces underneath and the associated despair in order to find a foothold in a disintegrating reality. The exhibition can be visited from the opening until the end of the festival. The opening will be followed by a discussion with the artists in the festival centre.

Veronika Szücs

Veronika Szűcs studied art history and Indology (Budapest), fine arts (Vienna) and comics and illustration (Bologna). In addition to artistic interventions and comic projects for museums, she mainly works on art books, currently in Bamberg. Veronika Szűcs' blackmail letters are created from product packaging and are aimed at all those who seek their meaning in life on Amazon. Happiness is a limited resource and our concepts of happiness are not sustainable - which is why she tears them apart, no matter how authentic they look.

Hannes Hochmuth

Hannes Hochmuth comes from Erlangen and is known here for his street art under the artist name ‘DACHS’. He has been studying painting at the Weißensee School of Art in Berlin for three years. His works this year use an industrial item for which he was also known in street art: the tile. Put together, they create a picture that deals with the apparent contrast between natural-organic and industrial-mechanical. They are sold piece by piece and can be taken away immediately, the image becomes progressively smaller.
