Milk: An invigorating dance-theatre performance
Performers Rebecca Bauer and Cleopatra Boudreau use their bodies and the structures of their space to tell the story of two women who create a vulnerable world of their own; a timeless world where they can be spontaneous, free, and honest about their experiences. As their relationship develops, competition creates a rift between them, and their relationship turns quite violent. MILK makes use of small amounts of poetic language and emphasizes the personification of emotion as well as the importance of body language. Rich with physical story and explosive changes, this dance-theatre piece creates a dialogue around womanhood and the inability to escape the weight and structures of our everyday world.
